Knocks upon thy morning woke up the two younglings from a heavy sleep blessed by the god Morpheus.  “Aries, you’re home! The sleepless night will seize to exist as you are here by our side once more,’ said the two boy’s mother, thee beautiful Helen, to her husband, Aries.

“I’ll show you a sleepless night! Children go and plays explore the fields as mother and I reunite,” suggested their father Aries.

Helen reminds the boys “Kids don’t dwell off to far, for you shall set the table as the sun rises, for breakfast.”

The two boys Alexander and Hercules head out. Hercules is interested in a patch he had discovered in the fields earlier that week.

“Alexander lets go pick some of the plants from the patch. Father has warned and forbid me to ever step foot in those places.” said, Hercules with curiosity in his eyes.

“Hey! Hercules!” said a powerful voice behind them.

Hercules turns around confused at the sight of the strange men acknowledging their presence.

“Hermes, I thought the boy would turn around,” stated the other man

“Morning, boy and… girl? I am Hermes and he is my brother Vulcan, we are in search of our eldest brother, Aries. You are the daughter and son of Aries, am I correct?” said Hermes.

Hermes stood a dashing 6ft tall warrior, wielding a spear, heraldic shield, and traditional armor. On the other hand, Vulcan possessed a rough appearance while wielding a bow and arrow.

“Hey, I’m a boy,” the boy, Hercules, whispers softly.

“Yes we are the sons of the beautiful Helen and Thee Aries—“

“Thee Aries? That old fool is just Aries-pathetic,” said Vulcan interrupting Alexander.

Silence brother! Aries is the eldest and we must respect him!” demanded Hermes.

“I am Alexander and he is my elder brother Hercules. Our father is inside the house with our mother,” said Alexander.

“Okay son, take care of your sister as Hermes and I visit your father, Aries,” said Vulcan with a chuckle.

Hercules is angered by the comments but he lets them go.

“Let’s go youngster, to the patches we go,” says Hercules with a smile on his face.

As they make their way to the patches, a roar and cry is heard frightening the boys. The weather instantly changes as the clouds cry drops of rain.

“Brother, the gods seem to be angered. It seems as though a monster is near us. We should leave, I’m scared,” cried Alexander, shivering with fear.

Another horrifying cry explodes into the skies, but the sound seemed to transcend as seconds melted into minutes. From behind the two boys, the beast appears with a thirst for blood. Alexander and Hercules then run with terror beating in their hearts, but the beast advances on them as they make their way through the patches into the woods. “Alexander! Brother Grab some of the plants1’ yelled Hercules. ‘No you’re ludicrous! Hurry into the woods where the monster can’t catch us! Cried”

Alexander. The boys reach the first tree and in the midst of it all a dark figure standing in between them pushes them out of the way, sending them flying in opposite directions. The dark creature then uppercuts the wild boar with a hatchet launching it far into the air. The beast cries in agonizing pain as the nest was a hit to the ribs slamming it to the ground; but the blood thirsty beast is far too hungry to surrender. It sprung towards the two boys as the dark unknown protector pulls it by the tusks, slams it on its back, and begins swing the beast. The protector seemed like a bigger threat than the wild boar towards the kids as he laughed pulling the tusk off and impaling the heart of the beast.

‘And now the finishing touch,” he said as he shoved his armored claw down the helpless beast’s throat and ripped out its spinal cord.

“You saved us! The monster … and dad… and the plants… then you” said Alexander crying his eyes out.”

“Monster? It was a measly boar. Hmm three hundred pounds I’d say! Good more dinner. Now stop crying punk. You’re a boy, you’ll be sent off to war in about 4 years. Phillip needs warriors not cowards! besides it is your sister not you who should be crying like a little coward,” said their savior.” Shall I present myself? Well I am Hades son of the gods, and you two weaklings are?’ asked the man.”

“Well I am a boy. And I am son of thee Aries and the beautiful Helen. This is my younger brother Alexander.”

“Off I go for your uncles and father are needed at war,” said Hades making his way to the house

“Oh and its men’s business so keep away he added.

Alexander looks out in to the distance and notices a whole in the ground.

Alexander remembers about the tunnels that he and Hercules had made all around the fields and under the house.

“Brother the tunnels! We can use the tunnels to hear the meeting1” said Alexander

“Yeah and it is for men only after all. We are men!” said Hercules with a grin. The brothers then make their way through the tunnels until they are under the dining room. They curiously press their ears to the ceiling of the tunnel overhearing the conversation.

“Hades, surprised to see you brother,” says Aries.

“Enough with the wimpy reunion, now let’s talk of war. Phillip needs us at the front lines. Aries, your sword and shield is needed to lead the battle. Vulcan you intelligence and precision is needed greatly and you Hermes, your loyalty and your swift battle tactics needed for successful flanks.” Stated Hades.

“And you, what do you bring to the battle field?” Does war flow through your cold veins as ours? Does it beat within your heart? Will you fight alongside?” exclaimed Hermes.”

The question is not what I would fight for but how much, how much gold I will fight for. My rage and the spirit of my battle axe is need by Phillip. So I will fight alongside, for I will receive my glory and gold,” replied Hades.

“Hades, death cannot be avoided. Your elation shall be the downfall you suffer on the fields of war!” exclaimed Aries.” Me Die preposterous, I am far too skilled in the art of war! I, alone, can destroy the gods that sit on their precious mount Olympus!” said Hades without a care “be careful of the word selection you choose to use Hades. Gods don’t take kindly to threats,” said Vulcan. “I have given my tribute to the gods already. Now it is there to turn to repay the favor,” responded Hades. ”If you ladies are done quarreling, I’d like to get back to business,” said Hermes

“Right, well as I was saying earlier, the imbeciles of the Persians have decided to become bothersome on some of Phillips Empire. He has called forth all of his warriors to reclaim the lost land and also to discard the Persian blemish from this earth,” explained Hades. “Will that Phillip ever tire of war? I have just returned to my family and now I shall return to the battlefield? I cannot complain for every muscle in my being tingles at the thought. Prepare brothers’. For we shall leave in three daytime,” said Aries. “For honor! For glory! For the Empire! Yelled the four men, demonstrating their desire for the passion of war, “ did you hear that Hercules?” asked Alexander,
“ yes we must say goodbye to father once more I doubt that mom will take this news lightly Come brother we shall wait for father and the others outside the house,” said Alexander. As the brothers left the dark underground tunnels, the warriors finished their business and headed outside to the waiting Helen. “Hermes, Hand me an apple. I hunger for meat but this will do,” murmured Vulcan, receiving the apple. At this, the two boys emerged from a small pile of leaves in the shadows next to the house. “Look Alexander! There they are!” exclaimed Hercules,” starting to run. “Father! Vulcan! Hermes! Hades!” please teach us the way of the warrior. We are ready,” yelled Alexander as he ran behind his brother. “You children believe you are worthy of the title of warrior,” laughed Hades “Hades!” yelled Vulcan. Please be respectful they deserve a chance. Now children, you say you wish to be trained? Well in order to see it you are worthy, I have a small task for you, “at this Vulcan took off one of the small plates on his armor and put it inside the half eaten apple. Vulcan tossed the apple up into the air, quickly drew his bow and fired an arrow through the apple. The arrow stayed lodged inside the apple and continued to soar through the air until it hit the top of an enormous tree. “Recover the plate and I shall teach you how to use a bow,” stated Vulcan. “ but Vulcan wont you be vulnerable with a large hole in your armor,” asked Alexander “ pay close attention and you will see I wear archers armor  I only protect my right arm and chest  with bronze armor that is layered like that of a dragons skin. Since most of my body is exposed another segment won’t matter,” said Vulcan “and you Hermes?” what kind of armor do you wear? Asked Hercules,” I wear a hussars outfit which is simply light vest armor with the feathers of eagles attached to my shoes and back.

Next morning the boys went on a small little trip to find the enormous tree out in the forest and to their great shock the tree is in the middle of a lake.

“Alexander!  Look the arrow is on top of that tree out in the lake we can never get it,” Said Hercules.

“Don’t say that we can do it we just have to train,” said Alexander. As the boys turned around heading home again.

On the way back the boys came across a bunny and started playing with it when suddenly

They saw a black blur out in the distance, “Did you see that?” asked Alexander.

Hercules replied, “No I didn’t see any scary black things moving really fast in the shadows of the trees nope I didn’t see anything.” In a frightened voice

So the boys started running back home after witnessing a scary beast.

Upon arriving Helen comforted the boys just before the departure of the Men.

“Helen don’t worry I shall be back with the family as soon as I can.”

“Aries promise me that!” said Helen

“Helen you know I don’t make promises I can’t keep.” Said Aries

After saying goodbye all the brothers but Hades set off to war. While Hades is talking to Helen the boys over heard Helen telling Hades to take care of Aries on the long journey.

“Bye Hades, have a safe journey!”said Helen

“Bye Helen!” said Hades

“Bye Hades!”Said the boys in unison.

“Good Bye Helen!” said Hades

 “Bye, “said Helen

“Bye Hades!”Said the boys in unison once again thinking that Hades must have misheard them.

“Good Bye Helen!” said Hades again

“Bye ha-ha,” said Helen with a grin on her face.

Seven Years Later

The men have finally come back from the war but this time they are one short the boys Tell Helen Of her Death and begin their training of the boys…
